There is also a new Quick Thread Flatline Barrel which attaches as easily as any other barrel to save players significant time and effort. The new Platinum Series maintains the core features of the original 98 Custom including ACT (Anti Chop Technology) all aluminum die cast receiver quick-release feeder elbow and a 200-round hopper. The gun operates great. It's pretty easy to use and is very durable. If your a begineer I would recomend it but if you are more experienced and need more I would go with the 98 custom with e-trigger. The only bad thing is that u need a flatline barrel to get a litle more accurate reach with this gun. But with the stock barrel it is just fine for begginers.

this gun is really good. one of my favorite tippmanns that i had so far. i really like the split reciver easier to clean and to put upgrades. its easiar to clean than the older tippmanns. really simple to put together not many parts. really good price. has not choped paint. i use a flatline barrel for it works good and a carr stock. only thin bad is that when the stock is on you cant look down the sights and the sights are not adjustable

this gun is amazing. from personal use, it is easy to maintain and it is durable. i think that this gun will last you a very long time. its also good for beginners. this it the perfect gun to have as a backup gun. i use mine every couple of weeks whenever i play. this gun is easy to clean and is built for customization (hint:98 CUSTOM). this gun is affordable and is an amazing gun for all beginning players. thanks for the awesome gun tippmann!!!!

First let me start by saying that Tippmann makes great products, the 98 series markers are no execption. They back up they're quality products with certified techs at many paintball stores, just check your local phonebook and Im sure you'll find one. Tippmann warrantys are second to none, they or thier techs at your local store will replace anything that breaks on your gun 90% or more of the time its free of charge as long as the gun is under warranty. Now the bad part, how do i know how good thier warranties are? my 98 has spent the better part of the last month in the shop, it would chop paint,go run away gun (when you pull the trigger once and it keeps firing after you let go of the trigger) and had a hard time firing straight. Just got it back this week and its firing like brand new. A 98 wouldn't be the only gun I ever owned but its great to have as it is the most heavily modifiable gun on the market.
